As a P47 pilot I flew 71 combat misions in France in 1944 with the 9th AF, 358 Ftr Grp, 366 Ftr Sqdn, I would like to hear from YOU if you were then in this squadron. "Robey"
My uncle, Hilding Roy Johnson, was with the 391st Ftr Grp, 366 Ftr Sqdn. He was lost near St.Vith on Christmas morning while flying in Quentin Aanenson's P-47, The Rebel Jack. The crash site was located in Aug. 2006 by a German team, and this July I went to Belgium (as an archaeologist) to excavate the site and sucessfully located his remains. Thank you for your service... I'm glad you came home to your family.
